Annual meeting

FARMINGTON – The Franklin County Children’s Task Force will hold its annual meeting from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, at the office at 113 Church St.

Santa was a hit

PHILLIPS – The Santa Is Coming to Town program, sponsored by the Phillips Christmas Committee, the Narrow Gauge Riders ATV Club and the Phillips Conservation Committee, was a success.

The Dec. 2 event saw a turnout of approximately 100 people, children and adults. Cookies, hot chocolate and coffee were served, and candy canes were passed out to the children by Santa.

Photos were taken of Santa and the children as they told Santa what they were hoping would be under their tree.

Another attraction was the horse-drawn wagon rides given by Martin Lane and family members from Shady Lane Farms.
