Club to meet

Potluck dinner

PERU – Families in Crisis will serve a public potluck dinner at noon Monday, Jan. 15, at the Rockemeka Grange.

Friday supper

DIXFIELD – A Tres Dias potluck supper will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at the Dixfield Congregational Church, High Street. For more information, call 364-8083.

Club dance

RUMFORD – The Snowshoe Club will sponsor a dance with music by Noel and Don from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at the club. Members and guests are welcome.

Collection taken

PERU – A collection is being taken to have stones made up for area veterans who died overseas.

A collection bottle is located at Blaisdell’s. A goal of $300 has been set.

Two other men from Peru, other than John Brooks, died in 1945 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Their names are Edgar R. Brown and Clarence E. Tyler.
