PORTLAND (AP) – Pascal Pelletier, Jeremy Reich and Martins Karsums scored within a span of 1:34 midway through the second period as the Providence Bruins beat the Portland Pirates 6-4 in American Hockey League action Saturday.

The win gave the Bruins sole possession of third place in the Atlantic Division, with Portland (20-16-1-5) dropping to fourth.

The Bruins (22-18-1-3) took an early 2-0 lead on goals by T.J. Trevelyan and Kris Versteeg before Tim Brent and Matt Keith tied it 2-2.

The Bruins took command when Pelletier, Reich and Karsums made it 5-2 midway through the second period.

In the third period, Zenon Konopka and Chris Durno scored for the Pirates, while David Krejci netted one for the Bruins.
