Open house

HEBRON – Hebron Academy will hold an open house for prospective students entering grades nine to 12 and their families at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, in the Campus School Building. RSVP to the office of admissions at 966-5225.

Rabies clinic

BUCKFIELD – A rabies clinic will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Buckfield fire station. Dr. Todd Gauger will administer the vaccinations. The fee will be $8 a shot.

Yard sale

NORWAY – An indoor yard sale fundraiser will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at the American Legion Hall, Main Street, for the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School Spanish III trip to Costa Rica. A bottle drive is also being held and people may donate returnable bottles and cans.

Rabies clinic

SUMNER – There will be a rabies clinic from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Sumner fire station. Dr. Todd Gauger will administer the vaccinations. Sumner residents may license their dogs. All dogs 6 months or older must be licensed by Jan. 31 to avoid a late fee and must have a current rabies vaccination.

Benefit supper

OXFORD – A benefit potluck supper will be held for Richard Kimball and family from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at Lake Thompson Fish and Game clubhouse, Paine Road. Proceeds will benefit the Kimball family, who were victims of a fire at their home on Jan. 7. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.

Church speaker

NORWAY – The First Universalist Church service at 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, will be led by the Rev. Bob Wolf. Wolf is a retired UU minister who lives in Auburn and he has led services at Norway UU several Sundays during the interim between ministers.

CPR class

NORWAY – PACE Paramedic Service and Stephens Memorial Hospital will offer a four-hour American Heart Association Heartsaver adult and child CPR class at 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29. Attendees will receive certification.

To register for the class or for more information, contact PACE at 743-1562, ext. 704. Cost will be $15, which covers the cost of the book participants will be able to take home with them.

Bridge results

NORWAY – Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Jan. 19 at the Fare Share Common, Main Street. A three-table Howell movement was played. Finishing first in Flight A were Dick Allen and Pete Cummings; second, Bev Dolan and Bev Pelletier, who also were first in Flight B. Finishing second in Flight B were Carol Curran and Suzanne Andrews.
