Carole Haas said it so well (Sun Journal, Jan. 14). Add to her position the fact that the Redington project is an economic non-starter. Maine is overdosed on energy. Redington will not replace any fossil fuel source and the project is possible only via deep taxpayer subsidies from taxpayers. Remember, tax credits represent real money.

All we get is desecration of a beautiful wilderness. What on earth could the LURC staff have been thinking?
