I object. As a former mayoral candidate for Lewiston, and a past opponent of Charles Soule, I feel I must clarify Soule’s Eiffel Tower comment. (Jan. 21)
Soule’s comment on the building of a replica tower was in response to a discusssion at a city council meeting about a transmitter being added to a number of towers in use at the Goddard Road facilities, and if the towers could take any more weight.
He saw an opportunity to create a tourism attraction and aid in a problem.
