FARMINGTON – Work First Inc. recently completed construction of the Touch of Class Thrift Shop, 303 Wilton Road, and celebrated with a grand opening and ribbon cutting on Monday, Jan. 29. The new thrift shop allows for more than double the square footage of the existing space.

The new shop will allow more of the donations made by the community and local citizens to be placed in the display room and to be sold inexpensively to the public.

The Touch of Class is a part of Work First Inc., a private nonprofit organization providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities in the local area. There are approximately 20 adult individuals with disabilities who participate in the daily operation of the shop. With the expansion, Work First hopes to open another 10-15 job possibilities for the individuals who receive services.
