LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on Jan. 29 with 42 members present.

Prior to the meeting, guests attended the SeniorsPlus monthly meal.

Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and the men and women in the Armed Forces. Mary Groleau led the singing of “Amazing Grace.”

The sick list included Christine Harlow, who had undergone surgery at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston. She was released on Jan. 29 and returned to Gray Birch Rehabilitation and Nursing Care, where she now resides and will have physical therapy.

Groleau was observing her 94th birthday and “Happy Birthday” was sung. Other members who observed their birthdays in January included Edith Leblanc, Christine Harlow, Pauline Duguay, E. Frechette and Geraldine Richards.

The monthly beano game will be held on Monday, Feb. 5. This will be the first opportunity to sign up for the Seniors Plus meal.

The 50-50 raffle was won by Bill Chabot. The meeting was adjourned and cards and games were played.
