LIVERMORE FALLS – Residents chose retired chiropractor David Lemire as selectmen with 79 votes in a special election Tuesday. Former Selectman Bernal Lake received 30.

Lemire will serve the remaining two years of Russell Flagg’s term.

Flagg resigned late last year to pursue new business opportunities.

Town Clerk Kristal Flagg said, “I had hoped more would come out but we were lucky to get this many on such a cold day.”

The town has 2,500 registered voters.
