LEWISTON – A masked man threatened a clerk with a knife and demanded money and smokes at the Irving Mainway on Main Street early this morning, police say.
Nobody was hurt in the 2:35 a.m. heist and police said there was no sign of a suspect when they arrived at the scene.
The assailant was described as black, between 5 feet, 8 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He was wearing an orange mask, a dark hooded sweatshirt and gloves. He fled on foot with several packs of cigarettes and a small amount of cash, police said.
No arrests were made by Thursday night.
