SKOWHEGAN (AP) – Two 15-year-old boys accused of setting off homemade acid bombs in a Skowhegan Wal-Mart are being offered a deal by prosecutors.

A plea agreement calls for Emmanual Hurtado and Tyler Tatakis of Skowhegan to spend 30 days in detention. They also would have to serve 150 hours of community service and two years of probation, and pay $5,000 in restitution.

The Wal-Mart was filled with hundreds of holiday shoppers when the bombs detonated, one in the toy section and the other in the pet area. At least eight people were treated for irritation to their eyes and throats or ringing in their ears.
