Builder’s Club students deliver Valentine cards

HEBRON – Members of the Hebron Academy Middle School Builder’s Club recently made Valentines and delivered them to residents of the Pine Point Nursing Home in Scarborough.

Of special interest to the middle-schoolers was visiting nursing home resident Ciro Russo, who graduated from Hebron Academy in 1948. The students brought him a yearbook, and Russo reminisced about his days at Hebron Academy.

The Builder’s Club is a large service organization for middle school students (ages 12 to 14), with more than 40,000 members worldwide. The club is a “student-led” community service organization, which operates under school regulations and draws its members from the student body.

Don Malpass of the Norway/South Paris Kiwanis serves as the school club adviser, and English teacher Jamie Fey serves as the faculty adviser. For more information, visit www.hebronacademy.org or call 966-2100.
