Back to Stone Age
LEWISTON – The Lewiston Public Library will return to the Stone Age at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, and 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, for a hands-on demonstration of caveman paint and brush-making.
The cave painting session is sponsored by Cornerstones of Science, an award-winning national science literacy initiative. It includes an interactive game and plenty of painting at the end.
Children from age 7 to 12 can reserve a place at either session. For more information, call the Lewiston Public Library at 784-0135, ext. 4.
Lodge meeting
AUBURN – Tranquil Lodge 29, AF and AM, will hold its postponed stated meeting for February at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, at the lodge hall, 1021 Turner St. It will be followed by working of the Fellowcraft Degree. All Master Masons are welcome.
Dog seminar
SABATTUS – The Lewiston-Auburn Kennel Club will sponsor a canine seminar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 11, at the Sabattus Town Hall, Route 9.
Speakers will be Kenneth Marden, former president of the American Kennel Club, on “The AKC and You”; Dr. Gail Mason, “Cancer in Canines”; Dr. Mark Mason, “Canine Reproduction Services”; and Arnold Woolf, “A Dog Show Judge’s Point of View.”

LEWISTON – The Lewiston Senior Citizens are offering the following day trips:
Irish show, Friday, March 16, lunch and entertainment at the Danversport Yacht Club, including the Dennis O’Gorman Show and Step Dancers. Cost, $75.
Stars on Ice, Saturday, March 24, at the Cumberland County Civic Center. Cost, $45.
Hollywood Slots at Bangor, Wednesday, April 11. The bus will leave around 8:15 a.m. Lunch will be at the Hollywood Slots (cost is on own), returning by 6 p.m. Cost, $20.
Cabane a sucre, sugar party, Saturday, April 21, for a Canadian maple sugaring party. Travel by bus to Erabliere Cloutier, Lac Megantic, Quebec. Cost, $38.

Bridge results
LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Feb. 13 were: first, Patricia Smith and Shirley West; second, Donna Bartlett and Donna Briggs; third, Mary Leahey and Claire Lyons.
No game was played at Schooner Estates on Feb. 14 because of the snowstorm.
Games are played at 9 a.m. Tuesdays and 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays and a partner is guaranteed. Call Rosemarie Goodwin at 783-1734 for information about all duplicate bridge games.
