BOSTON (AP) – Nathan Gerbe had a goal and two assists and Cory Schneider had 29 saves to lead Boston College to a 6-5 win over Maine on Friday night.

Michel Leveille and Billy Ryan each had two goals for Maine. Josh Soares added a late power-play goal.

Brian Boyle also had a goal and an assist for the Eagles (18-11-1, 14-8-1 Hockey East).

The Eagles never trailed, but Maine tied it at 4-4 on Ryan’s second goal, a power play at 7:19 of the third. Then Boyle and Gerbe scored to pull BC ahead for good.

Ben Bishop had 28 saves for Maine.

The win gave the Eagles a season sweep of the Black Bears (19-10-2, 12-10-1).
