DURHAM – A 29-year-old Lisbon Falls man, Jeremy D. Jones of 669 Lisbon St., was charged with operating under the influence Saturday night after crashing his vehicle into an embankment on Route 9 at the Plummer Mill Road intersection.

According to Androscoggin Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Jim Jacques, Jones was driving west on Route 9 around a curve when he lost control of his vehicle, struck a snowbank, and went airborne into an embankment before coming to a stop.

Jones refused medical attention. He suffered only minor injuries, and was wearing a seatbelt, Jacques said.

His 2006 Honda Ridgeline was demolished in the 9:21 p.m. mishap.
