Katherine V. Harder, daughter of Melinda and Ralph Harder of Auburn, is participating in Hamilton College’s abroad program in France for the spring semester.

The college has offered the program to sophomores and juniors who wish to pursue a thorough study of French language and culture. Upon their arrival, students agree to speak only French and study the humanities, fine arts and social sciences, while living with a host family.

A junior majoring in French and psychology at Hamilton in Clinton, N.Y., Harder is a graduate of Edward Little High School.
