ST. LOUIS (AP) – In a Feb. 13 story about a whole ovary transplant,

The Associated Press, quoting a Missouri physician, erroneously reported that he could become the first surgeon to scientifically document the procedure.

Subsequently, the AP learned that Dr. Pravin Mhatre of Mumbai, India, published a scientific report of his 2002 whole ovary transplant.
