NORWAY – A member of the Veterans for Peace will speak at the Norway Memorial Library tonight about the United States involvement in Iraq.
Bruce Gagnon of Bath, a member of Veterans For Peace and a former labor organizer and secretary/coordinator of the Global Network against Weapons and Nuclear Power in Space, will talk about why the U.S. government should have stayed out of Iraq and why it should get out now. He will lead a discussion on resisting the war, what to do and how to do it.
The meeting will also focus on strategies for a March 17 Oxford Hills demonstration and candlelight vigil in Paris to mark the 4th anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq.
