LEWISTON – Richard W. Lowe, 85, of Auburn died at Central Maine Medical Center on Thursday, March 1.
He was born on July 2, 1921, in Turner, the son of Harry and Bernice (Pearl) Lowe. He attended Turner schools. Growing up, he worked on his family farm in Turner.
On May 16, 1947, he married Elizabeth Newell.
He was a well-known, self-employed plumber, who worked in Lewiston/Auburn for the last 50 years.
He was a member of the Masonic Tranquil Lodge, N.R.A., Small Woodland Owners Association of Maine and Mid Maine Motorcycle Association. He enjoyed riding motorcycles with his friends, skiing, working, fishing, boating, camping, working on his truck and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Lowe; son, Brian Lowe, of Lewiston; grandchildren, Jeremy Lowe and his wife, Lynn, of Turner, and Jarred Lowe of Lewiston; and his aunt, Lucy Pearl.
He was predeceased by his parents; and his daughter-in-law, Paula Lowe.
