LEWISTON – Judy Paradis, vice president of Crestline, the direct marketing division of Geiger, announces two new hires, Lawrence Chasse and Leo Nieter.
Chasse will be the e-commerce manager for Crestline, responsible for overseeing the division’s Web site development, working with third-party e-commerce tool providers, and collaborating on marketing campaigns. He will also develop strategies to increase online traffic.
Chasse comes to Geiger following an eight-year career at Fairchild Semiconductor Corp., based in South Portland. He has also created a first-in-class search engine, called “Smart Search.”
Chasse is a nine-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served as an electronics technician in the submarine service division, attaining the rank of first class petty officer. He was born and raised in East Millinocket and resides in Brunswick with his wife, Kellie, and son, Camden.
Nieter will be graphics manager for Crestline, responsible for directing all art production services for Crestline, including catalogs, Web design and other marketing materials. He will oversee a team of artists in the areas of catalog design, photography and branding to maintain the consistency of the brand across all graphics media.
Nieter comes to Geiger following a 13-year career in graphic design, including seven years in the Imaging Department at BusinessWeek Magazine.
Nieter holds a bachelor of fine arts degree in commercial design and communications from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Ala. He was born in Hialeah, Fla., attended high school in Marietta, Ga., and resides with his wife in Auburn.
