GRAY- Spring Meadows Golf Club has hired Ben Morey as head golf professional.
After graduating from the University of Maine at Farmington, he began his career in 1998 as the tournament coordinator for BallenIsles Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. He moved back to Maine and became the first assistant at Falmouth Country Club in 2005.
He completed the level 3 golf professional training program and was elected a Class A PGA member in September 2005. In September 2006, he won the Maine Chapter PGA championship, and one month later, teamed with the director of golf at Falmouth Country Club, Ben Moore, to win the Maine Chapter Pro-Assistant Championship. Morey will offer golf development programs to both individuals and small groups.
