FARMINGTON – The Farmington Board of Softball Umpires is seeking new candidates. A series of 7 clinics is planned for Sunday and Wednesday evenings at the University of Maine at Farmington. The first session is set for Sunday, March 11 at 6 p.m. in the Dearborn Gymnasium.

New and returning umpires will review the rules and practice all aspects of the game. Besides studying the rule book, umpires will have an opportunity to practice mechanics and positioning under game situations.

Successful candidates become certified in both ASA and Federation rules and allows them to umpire middle school and high school games.
