AUBURN – Emily Lewandowski of Lewiston, a senior at St. Dominic Regional High School and daughter of Dr. and Mrs. John Lewandowski, has been selected to receive the 2007 Principal’s Award, Principal Donald Fournier has announced.

The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.

“Emily has shown her leadership and excellence in all facets of her life. Academically, Emily is taking a rigorous program of studies and is currently the top-ranked student of her college-bound class. She is a member of the National Honor Society and was named swimmer of the meet at the recent Class B state swimming competition,” said Fournier in making the award. “She very much deserves this recognition.”

Lewandowski, Fournier and other award winners and principals will attend an Honors Luncheon at the Bangor Civic Center on Saturday, April 7.

The luncheon recognizes the students with the presentation of a plaque and the awarding of five $1,000 scholarships.
