This year’s pep rally at Elm Street School was very enjoyable. School spirit was in abundance. The anticipation was building from the beginning of the day to the end. After the cheerleaders showed off their talents with back flips and snappy dance routine, the basketball players and their coaches were introduced. The teachers and students played a rousing game of basketball. It was obvious to see that the teachers knew what they were doing. Hardly necessary to say our fine educators succeeded. This was followed by the traditional screaming contest. The sixth grade won, much to the other grades’ dismay. The rally was packed full of pep and excitement. Since this is the eighth grade’s last year at Elm Street (as it is every year) I was pleased that it was this entertaining.
