FARMINGTON – LEAP Inc. has announced its spring calendar of respite activities for youths and adults in the greater Farmington area. DREAM stands for Diversified Respite Enrichment Activities program, which is run by LEAP staff and local volunteers.

The respite program supports participants with cognitive and developmental disabilities to gain independence, new skills and have fun learning about their community. The program is designed to support adults who receive minimal supports and youth who are living at home with family members.

The program is primarily funded through donations from the Tri-Valley United Way and local volunteer support. The respite supports are free and there is a small fee to cover participant expenses, such as supplies or lunch. Contact Rick Dorian at LEAP, 778-3443, ext. 104, to request an application or brochure.
