The 7-foot Oden was 8-for-12 from the field and 6-for-10 from the free throw line to go with eight rebounds and four blocks.
It was Ohio State’s third win in as many tries this season against Michigan (21-12), which is hoping to make the NCAA tournament for the first time since 1998.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Brandon Rush scored 16 points and ignited Kansas after an uninspired first half, lifting the Jayhawks past Oklahoma in the quarterfinals.
Rush started Kansas’ 18-2 second-half run with a reverse layup, and added a 3-pointer and a pair of free throws before the top-seeded Jayhawks (28-4) took it to another level, eventually leading by as many as 24 while Oklahoma struggled to make a shot.

Rice carried the Eagles for much of the game and essentially picked up the slack for leading scorer and conference player of the year Jared Dudley, who finished with 12 points. Dudley was quiet most of the game but stepped up in overtime, hitting a jumper and then converting a three-point play that put fourth-seeded Boston College (20-10) ahead 72-71 with 1:51 remaining.

Conference USA
No. 5 Memphis 71, Tulane 49
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Chris Douglas-Roberts scored 17 points, and Memphis extended the nation’s longest winning streak to 21 straight by beating Tulane in the Conference USA tournament semifinals.

ACC
No. 8 UNC 73, Florida St. 58
TAMPA, Fla. – Wayne Ellington scored 18 points and Ty Lawson had 14 to lead North Carolina over Florida State in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament.
The Tar Heels’ balanced attack was simply too much for the Seminoles’ one-man show, Al Thornton. FSU (20-12) never led, and Thornton – the ACC’s leading scorer and runner-up for conference player of the year – scored 12 points before fouling out with more than 6 minutes to go.
Brandan Wright added 11 points and Reyshawn Terry had 10 for North Carolina (26-6), which advanced to a semifinal Saturday against Boston College. The Eagles beat Miami 74-71 in overtime.
Tyler Hansbrough, whose nose was broken in North Carolina’s victory over Duke last Sunday, wore a protective mask and scored six points on 3-for-7 shooting before fouling out late in the game.
