LIVERMORE FALLS – Davis Mercier of Fayette, a senior at Livermore Falls High School, has been selected to receive the 2007 Principal’s Award, Principal Shawn L. Lambert has announced.

The award, sponsored by the Maine Principal’s Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.

“Throughout his years at Livermore High School, Davis has distinguished himself in the classroom, on the playing field, and as a leader in the school and the community,” Lambert noted in making the award. “He very much deserves this recognition.”

Mercier, Lambert and other award winners and their principals will attend an Honors Luncheon at the Bangor Civic Center on Saturday, April 7.

The luncheon recognizes the students with the presentation of a plaque and the awarding of five $1,000 scholarships.
