“Godspell,” a huge success off and on Broadway, is being presented by Lewiston-Auburn’s Community Little Theatre. Based on the Bible’s Gospel of Matthew and featuring such well-known songs as “Day by Day,” the play brings Jesus’ parables to life through song, dance and improvisation. Colleen Mahan, director/musical director, has chosen a nontraditional concept for the setting: a homeless street scene in a back alley outside a mission. “Godspell” will be staged at 7:30 p.m. today and at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 16-17, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at Great Falls Performing Arts Center, 30 Academy St.. Advance tickets are $15/$13. Reservations for tickets and theater/dinner packages for the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn Riverwatch and Marco’s Italian Restaurant, Lewiston, may be made by calling the box office at 783-0958; or by going online to www.laCLT.com.
