ANDOVER – A bottle drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 24, to benefit the youth missionary trip to the country of Wales. Donations are welcome.

Tuesday meeting

BETHEL – A regional town meeting focusing on the Brooking Report will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, at the Bethel Inn Conference Center. The public is invited.

Story hour

MEXICO – A preschool story and craft hour will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, at the library for children ages 2 to 5.

Topic will be “March will go out like a lamb” with the following stories: “The Snow Lamb,” “Big Bird’s Copycat” and “Ten Little Lambs and Sheep in a Jeep.” The craft will be “handprint” lambs.

WOWS meeting

RUMFORD – The Widowers and Widows Sharing will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 29, at the Methodist Church, Linnell Street. Carol Cottrill will present a program on bees. For more information, call 364-2617.

Moving Freely

MEXICO – Moving Freely, an exercise class designed for senior citizens, will be led by instructor Louise Stickney from 9 to 10 a.m. starting on Monday, March 26, at the Recreation Center gym. Suggested donation is $5 for the six-week program. To preregister, call Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice at 1-800-482-7412, ext. 1404.

The goal of Moving Freely is to help participants to achieve and maintain independent lives by incorporating movement into their daily routine. Regular exercise for people of all ages can enhance the quality of life and provide health benefits.

The exercise and designed to achieve the full range of motion in all body parts to develop flexibility, agility, coordination, balance and strength. Emphasis is placed on developing a walking habit, which participants are encourages to continue the six-week program has ended.
