RUMFORD – Mollyockett Trout Unlimited will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, at the Boiler Room. Bob Hatch of Fryeburg, storyteller, guide and chapter VP, will discuss Atlantic salmon fishing on the Mirimichi River. There will be a door prize drawing. All are welcome.
Beach party
KINGFIELD – The Kingfield Days Committee is sponsoring its second annual auction, with more than $4,000 in donated goods and gift certificates from local businesses, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 30, at the Nostalgia Tavern, Route 27.
The auction will be live with guest auctioneer Bobby Brown. Following the auction, there will be a beach party. People are invited to dig out the Hawaiian shirts and summer shorts. Come play on the beach and dance to Chesapeake DJs.
It is the only Kingfield Days fundraiser. Anyone wishing to donate to the auction can leave a message at Longfellow’s Restaurant at 265-4394 or Grand Central Station at 265-2893.
Kingfield Days will be held July 20, 21 and 22 with a theme of “The Four Seasons of Maine Mountain Living.”
