Lewiston – Irene G. Dubois, 82, formerly of 2752 Turner Road, Auburn, died on Sunday morning, March 18, at Montello Manor.
She was born in Lewiston, on July 7, 1924. she was the daughter of Jean-Baptiste and Marie-Anne Dodier Caron. She was a resident of Lewiston and Auburn all her life and she attended local schools.
She was married on April 24, 1948, to Roland G. Dubois who predeceased her on February 13, 1994. Prior to her retirement in 1986, she was employed for many years by General Electric. She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish and enjoyed gardening, flowers, and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.
Survivors include four daughters, Lorraine Dubois, of Florida, Jacqueline Dubois and Mrs. Andre (Joline) Binette, both of Auburn, and Diane Dubois and longtime companion, Gerald Lessard, of Lewiston; three sons, Raymond, of Florida, Richard and wife, Diane, of Lewiston, and Michael and wife, Cheryl, of Turner; six grandchildren, Mrs. Jason (Jennifer) Boyd, Jason Dubois, Felicia and Brandon Binette, Mrs. Frank (Karen) Richmond, and Stanley Camic; five great-grandchildren, Daniel and Christopher Boyd, and Stephanie, Jennifer, and Mercedes Richmond; two sisters, Simone Chretien, of Lewiston, and Fernande Caron, of Alaska; and one brother, Normand Caron, of Turner.
The family wishes to thank all of the staff at Montello Manor and the Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice for their dedicated service and care of her during her prolonged battle with dementia.
