JAY – Two men face charges after one was accused of supplying liquor and illegal drugs to a 16-year-old girl and the other was accused of providing a place for a minor to consume them.

A New Vineyard teenager and her mother went to Jay police in reference to drinking and smoking marijuana at a residence on Begin Road, which is located off Macomber Hill Road in North Jay, Jay police Detective Richard Caton IV said Monday.

After he conducted an investigation, Caton said, he issued summonses to Roger Begin, 23, of Jay, on charges of felony aggravated furnishing schedule Z drugs – marijuana, and misdemeanor furnishing liquor to a minor, Caton said.

He also charged Robert Begin, 20, of Jay by summons with one count of furnishing a place for a minor to consume liquor and drugs, Caton said.

Both men were arrested Friday on other charges and taken to Franklin County jail in Farmington.

Robert Begin was arrested on a warrant alleging unpaid fines and his brother, Roger Begin was arrested on violation of bail conditions for a previous operating under the influence charge, Caton said.

“The Jay Police Department doesn’t condone furnishing liquor and drugs to minors,” Caton said.
