Basket Bingo

DIXFIELD – Longaberger Basket Bingo will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at the American Legion on Main Street.

Tickets are $10, available at Franklin Savings Bank, Far East and Dirigo High School. There will be raffles, door prizes and a 50/50 drawing. It is sponsored by the Dirigo Athletic Boosters. For more information, call Barbara at 562-8989.

Spring gathering

RUMFORD – Parents and Child Together Group spring gathering will be held from 2:45 to 4:30 p.m. Monday, March 26, at the Elementary School for all SAD 43 children ages 3 to 7 and their parents. There will be stories, healthy snacks, crafts, kids’ exercises and a puppet show. For more information, call Ms. Sullivan at 364-8155, ext. 105.

Class meeting

MEXICO – Members of the Stephens High School Class of 1949 will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at the Chicken Coop.

Program on bees

RUMFORD – Widows and Widowers support group will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 29, at the Methodist Church, Linnell Street. The parking lot behind the church is available for parking.

Carol Cortrill, owner of the Fox Run Farm, master beekeeper and a member of the Western Maine Beekeepers Association, will present the program. Refreshments will follow. All widows and widowers are welcome.

Anniversary

RUMFORD – Business after Hours, River Valley Healthy Communities, will celebrate its 10th anniversary from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at 94 River St. There will be light refreshments and giveaways. For more information or directions, call 364-7408.

Armory dance

RUMFORD – A Spring Armory Dance will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at the Armory on Lincoln Avenue. Cost is $1. Tunes will be provided by Joe the Music Man. The public is welcome.

Spring fair

PERU – A spring fair benefiting Family in Crisis will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at the Rockemeka Grange Hall. There will be junk tables, raffle, food, Chinese auction and crafters.

Lodge to install

RUMFORD – Installation of officers will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, March 30, at the Mt. Zircon Lodge 142, Order of Eastern Star, Route 232. It will be preceded by a 6 p.m. supper.
