TURNER – Cub Scout Pack 187 recently held its annual Pinewood Derby Race at Boofy Quimby Memorial Center.

Forty-two Scouts each took part in 16 races. The six fastest cars will advance to the Pinewood Derby district event on Saturday, April 14, at the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church, Lewiston.

The top six are Griffin Bourassa, first; Ben Rancourt, second; Evan Cloutier, third; Tyler Simmons, fourth; Colby Nadeau, fifth; and Joseph Bussiere, sixth.

Bourassa has not only earned his fifth straight year into the districts, but also has become the first Cub Scout in the Abnaki District to accomplish the task.
