Spring fair
PERU – A spring fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at the Rockomeka Grange Hall. There will be raffles, food sale, crafters and a white elephant sale. Proceeds will benefit the Family in Crisis Task Force Food Pantry.
The Youth Group will have a bottle drive from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 31, with proceeds to benefit the food pantry.
Baseball sign-up
CANTON – Youth baseball sign-up will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at the Municipal Building.
Planning reunion
MEXICO – The Mexico High School Class of 1977 Reunion Committee will hold an organization meeting at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 1, at Applebee’s Restaurant in Auburn. All are invited. The 30th class reunion will be held at Sunday River Resort on Aug. 11.

Class to meet
MEXICO – The Stephens High School Class of 1952 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 2, at the Chicken Coop for luncheon. All class members are welcome.
Legion dinner
DIXFIELD – Swasey-Torrey Post 100, American Legion, will hold a spaghetti/meatball dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, at the Legion Hall, Main Street.
Proceeds will benefit Harold Buker. There will be a 50/50 raffle, with a second drawing winning a free night of bingo at the Legion’s Saturday bingo.
Class luncheon
RUMFORD – Mexico High School Class of 1959 will hold a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 4,. at Sam’s Restaurant, Prospect Avenue. All are invited.
Trail Blazers
MEXICO – The Trail Blazers will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, downstairs at the town hall. Members will take sealed bids on a 1993 VK540 Yamaha grooming sled; the minimum bid being $500. Information meeting
RUMFORD – The Agricultural Commission is planning another informational meeting for 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, at the River Valley Technology Center, 60 Lowell St. The purpose is to continue discussing the efforts to improve the regional farmers’ market.
The commission is inviting all agricultural producers, farmers and artisans to attend the meeting. Discussions will continue on the structure of the already established River Valley Farmer’s Market and how to offer the best variety and product in one general location.

Grange open house
RUMFORD – Grange 115, Rumford Center, will have an open house and citizen award day at noon Sunday, April 7. There will be a free lunch at noon, followed by the meeting.
Benefit dance
RUMFORD – A benefit dance to help the family of Suzanne Gaudet Parker, 38, will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday, April 13, at the American Legion Hall, Congress Street.
Tim Kelly will provide the music, and there will be raffles and a Chinese auction. Anyone wishing to donate items for the auction may call Barbara at 364-3648, Jean at 364-7046, Clarise at 562-7125 or Ann at 597-3054. A $5 donation will be requested at the door.

She is the daughter of Steve and Barbara Gaudet and was born and brought up in Rumford but now resides with her husband, Wil Parker, in Florida. She was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma and Hodgkin’s Disease in 1995.
