PARIS – Holy Week services at Trinity Lutheran Church will begin with Passion Sunday, April 1, at 10:15 p.m.

A potluck supper at 6 p.m. and short service afterward will be held on Maundy Thursday, April 5.

Good Friday services will be at 7 p.m. April 6.

The men of the church will serve breakfast at 8:30 a.m. on Easter, April 8. To make a reservation, call 743-6906 and leave a message.

At 10 a.m. there will be special music, which will include the Trinity Choir, Walter and Henry Leino singing a Finnish duet, a piano/organ duet, “Easter Fantasy” by Susan Glines and Miriam Leino and “The Holy City” by organist Susan Glines.

The Easter Eucharist will begin at 10:15 a.m. Father Henry Male’s sermon will be titled “Why Aren’t You Risen?”

Second Congregational

NORWAY – Easter week activities at the Second Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, 205 Main St., will begin with Palm Sunday at 10 a.m. April 1, with the Rev. William R. Wildman presiding. Communion will be served. Church school will also be at 10 a.m. with nursery available.

On April 5, the Maundy Thursday service will begin with a supper of soup, unleavened bread, fruit and cheese at 5:30 p.m. followed by Service of Tenebrae and Communion at 6:30. The Sunday school children will gather after school to prepare the meal.

A Good Friday Walk will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 6, when people will gather at the Unitarian Universalist Church and stop at many of the churches in Norway and South Paris for a reading.

The walk will end at the Trinity Lutheran Church in South Paris. All area churches are welcome to participate.

An Easter Sunday sunrise service will take place at 6 a.m. at Brimstone Corner in South Paris. In the event of rain or snow, people will meet at the Second Congregational Church in Norway. Breakfast will follow at the Second Congregational Church.

Everyone is invited to the worship service at 10 a.m. on Easter morning, April 8. Wildman will preside and music will be provided by the vocal choir and the hand bell choir. There will be no Sunday school as everyone is invited to attend church as a family. There will be a nursery attendant available for the young children.
