LIVERMORE – Residents of Livermore and Livermore Falls with children who will be age 5 on or before, Oct. 15, are asked to set an appointment to register their child to start school in the fall.

This appointment may be made by calling Livermore Elementary secretaries at 897-3355 or stopping by the school office at any time prior to Friday, April 6. A registration packet is available for those wishing to complete part of the process prior to registration day.

Kindergarten registration date is Friday, April 6.

If a child is attending the kindergarten program for 4-year-olds, parents do not have to attend. Selection of age 4 participants will happen after the initial screening process.

Children will have to meet the program criteria to qualify, including eligibility for Head Start. For more information, call the above number.

The process includes three major parts: the gathering of student identification information; a brief interaction between the child and a kindergarten teacher; and a review of the child’s medical history. The process takes 15 to 20 minutes.

Parents are asked to bring their child’s official birth certificate, social security card and immunization record.
