HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) – Brandon Dubinsky and Craig Weller scored two goals apiece as the Hartford Wolf Pack beat the Portland Pirates 7-4 Wednesday night in the American Hockey League.
Dubinsky and Weller had two of Hartford’s four goals in the third period, pushing the Wolf Pack past the Pirates after Portland rallied to tie the game at 4-4 with 12:03 left in the game. Portland (35-28-3-9) evened the score in the third on goals by Bobby Ryan and Aaron Rome.
But the Wolf Pack responded as Dubinsky scored, Greg Moore added a shorthanded goal and Weller capped the scoring at the 18:02 mark on assists by Dubinsky and Alex Bourret.
Al Montoya stopped 21 of 25 shots for Hartford (45-27-3-0).
, while the Pirates’ David McKee saved 25 of the 32 shots he faced.
Marvin Degon and Nigel Dawes had the Wolf Pack’s other two goals. Simon Ferguson and Drew Miller added goals for Portland.
