NORWAY – Life Line Screening will be at the Second Congregational Church, 205 Main St., on Monday, April 23. Appointments will begin at 10 a.m.
Screenings involve the use of ultrasound technology and scan for potential health problems related to blocked arteries, which can lead to a stroke; aortic aneurysms, which can lead to a ruptured aorta; and hardening of the arteries in the legs, which are a predictor of heart disease. Also offered is a bone density screening to assess risk for osteoporosis.
The four screenings take less than an hour to complete. A wellness package, including the stroke/carotid artery, abdominal aortic aneurysm, ankle brachial index (hardening of the arteries) and osteoporosis screenings, is $129.
For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 1-877-237-1287 or visit www.lifelinescreening.com. Preregistration is required.
