TOPSHAM – The Oratorio Chorale is inviting people who enjoy singing to join the group in an open rehearsal from 6-9 p.m. Sunday, April 15, at the MidCoast Presbyterian Church, 84 Maine St.

Singers will rehearse music for the chorale’s upcoming May concert, featuring works by Schubert, Schumann and Mendelssohn.

The open rehearsal is an opportunity for those who might be interested in joining the Oratorio Chorale to learn more about the group, work with chorale director Peter Frewen and obtain information about auditions for the 2007-2008 season.

The Oratorio Chorale is an auditioned chorus of about 60 singers from 20 communities, performing three programs a year at venues in Bath, Brunswick, Freeport, Newcastle, Portland and Yarmouth.
