Potluck supper

WATERFORD – The Wilkins Community House will hold a community potluck supper at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 19. All are welcome to bring a dish to share and bring a friend. Beverages and breads will be provided.

The hosts will be Ginny and Denny Raymond. The Community House is located on Plummer Hill Road.

Trip seats

PARIS – A few seats are left for a June 20 trip to the Norlands in Livermore. A lunch will be served family-style, followed by a laugh and learn session in the one-room schoolhouse. Upcoming trips will include the Castle in the Clouds in New Hampshire, a luncheon trip to the Mt. Washington Hotel and a visit to Salem, Mass. on Oct. 27 for Haunted Happenings. VFW supper

HARRISON – A public supper will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at the VFW Hall, Route 35. The menu will include baked beans, brown bread, macaroni and cheese, casseroles, salads, pies and beverage. Cost for adults is $6; children under 12, $3. It is sponsored by Ronald G. Rummage sale

PARIS – A rummage sale will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 14, at the First Universalist Church of South Paris, 36 Pine St. Featured will be a white elephant table, clothing, books, appliances, dishes, furniture, toys, tools, kitchen items, fabric and linens. A bag sale will follow from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. A large plastic bag for $1 may be filled with items.

Chinese auction

PARIS – A Chinese auction will be held Saturday, April 14, at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. Bidding will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and drawing of winners will be at 6:30. Cost for tickets is 10 for $2.50 with bonus tickets. There will be more than 200 items, and food and refreshments will be available. Proceeds will benefit Responsible Pet Care of Oxford Hills.

Fundraiser

WATERFORD – There will be a fundraiser supper for Kyli LaBrecque at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at the North Waterford Congregational Church. LaBrecque was chosen by People to People to go to Australia this summer for three weeks. There will be raffle items.

Christian women

PARIS – The Christian Women United will meet Tuesday, April 17, at the First Congregational Church. Luncheon will be served at 11:30 a.m. Speaker will be Ginger Mae Dyer of Corinna. She will play her guitar and yodel. Those who have not been contacted and would like a reservation may contact Pearl Anderson at 743-5724.
