LEWISTON – Announcement is made of the engagement of Samantha Lynn Pelchat and Daykin Anthony Marini, both of Brunswick.

Miss Pelchat is the daughter of David Pelchat of Oxford and Debra Pelchat of Lewiston. She is a graduate of St. Michael’s College in Vermont and received a master’s degree in child counseling from Texas A&M. She is employed at First Step Educational Learning Center in Freeport.

Mr. Marini is the son of Steven and Norma Marini of Rockport, Texas. He is a graduate of St. Michael’s College in Vermont and is employed at Taggart Construction in Freeport.

A Sept. 1 wedding will be held at 4 p.m. at Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield.
