PHILADELPHIA – Larry Hughes scored 22 points and LeBron James had 18 to lead Cleveland to a 98-92 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night, keeping the Cavaliers alive for the second seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Cavaliers could move up to No. 2 if they beat Milwaukee on Wednesday night and New Jersey beats Chicago, also on Wednesday.

Magic 95, Wizards 89

WASHINGTON – The Orlando Magic overcame Antawn Jamison’s 48 points Tuesday night and kept up a last-minute push to improve their playoff seeding with a 95-89 victory over the Washington Wizards.

Hedo Turkoglu scored 26 points to lead the Magic, who are sitting in eighth place in the Eastern Conference.

Hawks 118, Pacers 102

ATLANTA – The Atlanta Hawks set season highs for points in a quarter and a half and finished another disappointing season by beating the Indiana Pacers 118-102 on Tuesday night.

The Hawks missed the playoffs for the eighth straight season.

Pistons 100, Raptors 84

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Richard Hamilton scored 10 first-half points and the Detroit Pistons beat the Toronto Raptors 100-84 on Wednesday night in a glorified exhibition game for both teams.

Neither team had anything to play for – the Pistons are locked into the Eastern Conference’s top seed.

and the Raptors will be No. 3 – but Detroit coach Flip Saunders didn’t want a repeat of his team’s feeble loss to Philadelphia.
