Day rescheduled
CANTON – Stewardship Day at Canton Rivershore Conservation Area has been postponed to Saturday, June 2, due to inclement weather. It was originally scheduled for Saturday, April 21. The rescheduled date will expand on the original plans; more information will follow.
Bake sale
MEXICO – A bake sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, April 20, at Wal-mart. It will benefit Abbie Blauvelt, a 6-year-old leukemia victim. For more information, call Clara Gallant at 369-0280.
Center planning
FARMINGTON – The Foothills Arts Center invites people to offer program and facility ideas for a community arts center for Western Maine. The Arts Center Alive initiative will kick off with a public planning meeting from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at the Foothills Arts Center office and studio, Pleasant Street, downtown Farmington.
The Foothills board of directors is planning a center that would provide studio, workshop, gallery, and retail space for artisans and artists.
