JAY – Somebody attempted to gain entry into My Dad’s Place on Old Jay Hill Road late Sunday night and set off the burglar alarm.

When police officer Anthony Duvall arrived there was no one at the scene, but there was some damage to the rear door from someone trying to enter the building, police Chief Larry White Sr. said Monday.

The alarm came in at 11:39 p.m, he said.

Police collected some evidence at the scene, White said.

Anyone who may have seen someone in the area is asked to phone police at 897-6766.
