Dear Sun Spots: I have received numerous inquiries regarding when the next name panel with engraved veterans’ names will be dedicated.

Names received before Jan. 30 will be engraved on the panel to be unveiled on May 26, after the 9 a.m. parade. Names received after Jan. 30 will appear on the next panel on July 4 if completed by then, or Nov. 11.

All veterans, whether living or deceased, and members of the reserves, National Guard or with an honorable discharge qualify. Applications may be obtained by phoning Gerry at 782-6621 or Bert at 786-2305. Thank you. – Gerry N. Cain, L&A Veterans Council, Lewiston.

Dear Sun Spots: I have a Lowrey organ, called the Genie, that I would like to give to a family with young children who’d like to play an instrument. It comes with a sturdy bench that holds music sheets and books. It’s a solid, heavy unit and will take two strong men to carry. It doesn’t take up a lot of room, surprisingly, and is a handsome piece of furniture. I may be reached at 783-7840. Thank you. – Lorraine, No Town.

Dear Sun Spots: I notice you get a lot of requests for magazines. The Lewiston Public Library has a lot of back copies in the basement, including women’s magazines. Your readers who are seeking patterns and recipes might check these out for any recipes or patterns they’re seeking. Hopefully, this will help someone. – No Name, No Town.

Answer:
Readers may also consider checking in with the Auburn Public Library or their own library to see if they also carry the magazines they’re seeking.
