LIVERMORE FALLS – Voters will consider only one contested race at the polls on June 12.

Running for a three-year selectmen’s seat held now by Bill Demaray are SAD 36 school Director Denise Rodzen and former SAD 36 Director Ernie Souther.

Louise Chabot is running unopposed for a two-year selectman’s seat held now by Michael Collins.

Three candidates are seeking election to the SAD 36 school board with one position having no candidates, Town Clerk Kristal Flagg said.

Incumbent SAD 36 Director Ann Souther is running unopposed for a three-year term and former Director Rhonda Drake is unopposed in her bid for another three-year term on the board.

Retired teacher and incumbent SAD 36 Director Elaine LaPointe is running unopposed for a one-year position.

A three-year seat held by Elaine Smith has no takers.

Smith and Lorie Morris, who also holds a seat on the board, are not seeking re-election.

Elections will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at the town office. Absentee ballots are scheduled to be available on Friday, May 11, at the town office.
