Recently, President George Bush is trying to pass a law that makes abortion illegal. Many groups like religious organizations and people who support the idea that abortions should be illegal are promoting this law. Many people who support the law do this by standing outside the abortion clinics holding up signs and shouting. The signs usually contain gross images of what happened to the baby when the mother has an abortion. Violent words to protest abortion occur then. Although these protests are often peaceful and are not hurting anyone, I don’t think it is right to make a woman feel worse than she does on a very hard day of her life.

Recently, there have been attacks on the abortion clinics. They have made the buildings more sturdy yet more security is needed. Since violence has increased at abortion clinics there are less clinics and less workers willing to work there.

Although there are some risks in having an abortion, there is more risk having a child.

There are so many women who can’t get to a safe abortion clinic. Many women who cannot get to an abortion clinic wind up getting the abortion on the street. That’s where most of the deaths from abortions come from.

Although the groups that are promoting the anti abortion supporters have a good point, if the law passes it will save a lot of babies from dying and will be agreeing with religious groups.

But the opposite side called Pro Choice Activists has a good point too. If the law passes, it will force raped women to have their babies from rape which most likely will cause mental stress on the women. Also, if this law does pass, there is going to be a rise in adoption. President Bush needs to start to account for the new babies that are going to be born. The first thing that he needs to do is account for the babies that are already here and then pass the abortion law.
