LMS had its annual Spirit Week from March 26-30. Each day had its own theme, which students could follow. Monday was “Blast From The Past” day. Students were encouraged to wear clothes from the past. Tuesday was “Twin Day.” Students picked friends to dress up with the same clothes. Wednesday was “Favorite Person Day.” Students who participated dressed up like their favorite person, whether they were famous, or teachers within the school. Thursday was “Hawaiian Day.” Students were urged to wear Hawaiian style clothing to school.

Friday was March Madness. Each team had a specific color which students wore that day to represent their team. After lunch, students were brought to the gym to compete in games. Some of the games included a duck toss, where students threw a duck into a barrel, a hoola-hooping relay, and the ever-so-popular tug-o-war. Second place in the games was team 83. First place was awarded to team 82. Friday night was the LMS dance. Since the students just finished the MEA’s, the dance was a good way to relax for the students. Those who tried hard and behaved during the MEA’s received free admission to the dance. Overall, spirit week was a big success.
