FARMINGTON – Local Shriners will sponsor a free screening clinic to identify children in the greater Franklin County region who could benefit from the orthopedic and burn care provided by Shrine hospitals.
The clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 12, in the second floor outpatient clinic at Franklin Memorial Hospital. Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Joseph Caldwell will be the attending physician.
Any children under 18 who have problems of the bones, joints or muscles or problems associated with healed burns are encouraged to attend the clinic for an evaluation and to see if they are eligible for free treatment at Shrine hospitals. Conditions that can be treated include neuromuscular disorders, clubfoot, leg length discrepancies, scoliosis, cleft palate and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.
All medical care provided at Shrine hospitals is at no cost. To make an appointment or for more information, call 1-800-782-KORA.
